Graduation Exercises Graduation exercises are held on the date specified on the college calendar. Commencement is held in the evening and consists of a formal dinner followed by the presentation of diplomas and class awards. The keynote speaker is a distinguished personage in or related to the funeral service profession. The College covers the cost for the graduating student. Graduates may invite guests at their expense.
National Examinations The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards, (ICFSEB), administers a computer based licensing examination, which is accepted nationally, with the exception of California. As indicated above, each student must sit for the ICFSEB as a requirement for graduation. With regard to licensure, in addition to passing the ICFSEB, graduates need to fulfill the pre-requisite requirements of the State for which they intend to practice. Graduates can either contact the state board directly, or consult our website, which has a complete listing of the licensing requirements under the heading, Licensure.
