Worsham’s Facilities
College Building and Equipment - The college occupies a modern building which is set on two acres of land. The building itself, the care it has received and the cleanliness of the surrounding grounds, enhance the overall attractiveness of the location.
Worsham College maintains and advocates the use of a wide range of recently developed instructional and audiovisual aids for classroom use. The building has a Wi-Fi network, full computer lab, and audio visual aids to further the students’ awareness and understanding of special concerns which are of utmost importance to the funeral service profession.
Library Services and Computer Services - The Tomczak-Bak Library, which is reference only, is readily accessible to the students and faculty. The library is open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The library offers a pleasant environment conducive to independent study and leisurely reading. For those students who prefer to study collectively, there are two group study rooms available. Adjacent to the library is the audio-visual room which affords the student the opportunity to view a collection of DVDs and videotapes related to funeral service, as well as study the various visual aids and anatomical models available.
The Worsham College Computer Laboratory is open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each student is afforded free access to the Internet through the DSL connection available in the commuter lab or over the Wi-Fi system throughout the building.
Laboratory Equipment - The laboratories are furnished with highly functional equipment intended to provide maximum opportunity for individual learning through practical training. All basic equipment and materials are furnished by the College. In compliance with O.S.H.A. regulations, each week the student is issued a gown, goggles, gloves, surgical mask, bouffant, and shoe covers.
